Movement Labs Concludes Landmark APAC Tour 2025 with an Unforgettable Tokyo Finale – Taisu Ventures

April 17, 2025 – Tokyo, Japan

Taisu Ventures was proud to support Movement Labs as they closed their month-long GMove Cooper: APAC Tour 2025 with a powerful final stop in Tokyo. The event, held at WeWork Kamiyacho Trust Tower, had over 100 sign ups spanning a vibrant cross-section of the Web3 ecosystem, including corporates, Move developers, investors, builders, and community leaders, each unified by a shared belief in the future Movement Labs is building.

The Tokyo event wasn’t just a meet-and-greet. It featured a dynamic panel discussion that brought together some of the brightest minds in the space. The panel was moderated by Joe, APAC Activation Lead at Movement Labs, and featured Cooper Scanlon (Co-Founder of Movement Labs), Pierina Merino (Founder and CEO of FlickPlay), Jitendra “JJ” (Co-Founder of Helix), and Kai (Founder of Max.Move). The conversation touched on the evolution of the Move ecosystem, the challenges of scaling adoption across chains, and the unique role Movement Labs is playing in unlocking new applications of the Move programming language in gaming, DeFi, and infrastructure.

Attendees were treated to an insider’s look at the Movement Network’s roadmap and the broader vision for modular, Move-based blockchains. Cooper shared candid reflections on the lessons learned from Movement’s cross-Asia journey, from the enthusiasm of grassroots developers in Ho Chi Minh City to the emerging corporate collaborations seen in Seoul and Tokyo.

As a token of appreciation, limited-edition “Tokyo Edition” Movement Labs hoodies and shirts were distributed to participants. These exclusive swags, available only at the Tokyo event, symbolized the spirit of community and innovation that the Movement team has fostered throughout the tour. Many attendees proudly donned them onsite, creating an energetic visual of solidarity.

More than just a celebration, Tokyo was a launchpad for deeper collaborations. Representatives from leading corporates, gaming studios, blockchain infrastructure builders, and venture investors engaged in spirited discussions around potential partnerships and integrations with Movement’s ecosystem.

The Tokyo stop marked the culmination of a groundbreaking tour that spanned major innovation hubs across Asia—Taipei, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Singapore, Seoul, and now Tokyo. Across every city, Movement Labs ignited fresh momentum for Move developers, expanded community reach, and reinforced the idea that blockchain innovation is a collective journey.

At Taisu Ventures, we are proud to be an early partner and supporter of Movement Labs. Witnessing their impact across the region and their ability to galvanize communities reaffirms our belief that the future of modular blockchains will be Move-powered—and Movement-led.

This may have been the final stop of the APAC tour, but for Movement Labs and the ecosystem rallying around it, it is just the beginning.

Stay tuned as we continue to support and help scale the Movement globally.
